Santos, President and CEO of Kerygma Eventos e Viagens, a premiere events and travel company in Brasilia, Brazil. As one of Brasilia’s top conference and meeting planners for over twenty years, Maria has a breadth of experience in creating successful experiences for her corporate and government clients. For the past six years as the head of Kerygma, she has directed and executed the logistics for annual meetings in the pharmaceutical, science, technology and other industries, and advised clients on the best that executive international travel has to offer.
Maria’s ability to bring her clients’ visions to life is a reflection of her training in human resource management and her prior experience as a project manager in the Brazilian government. Working with agencies such as the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, The University of Brasilia Foundation, and local hospitals, she served in numerous capacities that honed her ability to provide expert logistics services and understand the needs of her clients. From advising boards of directors to planning international events to training employees, Maria stays at the forefront of her industry by following trends that simplify the process of organizing and implementing effective meetings and events. By using technology such as interactive response and digital registration tools, clients can expect a level of proficiency and organization that ensures a memorable experience for attendees, vendors, and sponsors.
Maria’s passion and enthusiasm for her work and her business stem from her desire to provide quality, superior service with a smile. Her academic background includes an MBA in Human Resource Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas – Brasilia, a Bachelor in Arts (Portuguese and English) from College of Philosophy – Campos – RJ, and additional training in project management and grants management.
